A more relaxed version of the original Ladies Qipao, the KAI Dress features an Open V-neck style with a mandarin collar and an A-line silhouette, with options for sleeveless/cap sleeves. If you have always loved the look of the traditional Qipao but never liked the restrictive collar, then this pattern is for you! The KAI dress pattern is also a much quicker sew because the collar is built in to the front bodice piece, therefore no separate collar pieces are needed!

INSTRUCTIONS
Detailed step by step diagrams and photos with all the techniques you will need to make this dress. As with all my patterns, there is also a sewing video tutorial on YouTube that will guide you through the whole process.

PATTERN
This pattern is for Ladies sizes 0-12 and includes a tiled PDF for instant download. The PDF patterns are layered which allows you to isolate and print only the sizes you need. There is a printing guide in the instructions that will show you how to select the layers you need. 

With the layer PDF files, you can choose to print at home on either A4 or Letter size paper which will need to be pieced together, or A0 size patterns for printing in a copy shop.

For the first time, I have also included a projector pattern file which has been optimised in layout and format for use with projector sewing. 

USE OF PATTERN
You may use this pattern to make garments for sale in small quantities (e.g. home businesses) but not for mass production. You may NOT use this pattern or its instructions, whether in its original form or as a template for modification to conduct classes without prior permission from [email protected]

IMPORTANT
